Artists Wanted (Desperately)!

Queeroes is desperately looking for artists and colorists for the ongoing series. Artists must be able to ink their own work, although I can help fill in large black areas to save time.

Artists can do one page filler, eight page episodes, or an entire co-created webcomic. As of now, we have no artists firmly committed for future episodes!

Queeroes needs a new direction, are you the one that can bring it life?

Queeroes could also use artists for one-page “filler” strips to go in between updates. These are standard 6×9 comic book pages and will feature a one-page 4 – 5 panel story.

Sorry, no pay at this time, but I can offer excellent professional exposure and will help promote your work and/or your website. Queeroes has had write-ups on prismcomics.org and associatedcontent.com. The webcomic has also been featured in Instinct Magazine and in print in the 2008 edition of Prism Comics: Your LGBT Guide To Comics.

I advertise the webcomic through Project Wonderful (you can check the stats for yourself) and we’re currently averaging around 300 - 500 page views per day. Do a Google search for “gay webcomics” and Queeroes comes up second in the listing, so we’re well indexed! There are also links to Queeroes all over the web on MySpace, YouTube, ComicSpace and through banner exchanges and linking with other GLBT sites. So, your art will receive a lot of exposure, including professional comic book writers, artists and editors who visit the site regularly.

Also, every 24 pages will be collected in a print edition that will be sold through Indy Planet. So, your work will appear both on the web and in print!

Sorry, Queeroes has no need for writers or letterers at this time.

Artists and colorists should email sequential samples only to tonysmith@queeroes.com, but please…no pin-ups. I need to see how you tell a story with pictures, not how sexy you can draw Wonder Woman.
